AI Make-or-Sell Planner
Tomorrow's bake, decided tonight.
Every evening the planner reads each outlet's sales, the day of the week, festivals, weather and current stock, then suggests what to make, how much to send to each outlet and which raw materials will run short. The owner reads the reasons and approves.
- Plans
- Make, send, buy
- Reasons
- On every line
- Approval
- Always the owner
62 kg sold today, festival lift
cooler weather, hot sweets up
was 50, sold out by 6 pm
Outlet 2 holding 14 kg
The production head starts with a plan, not a blank sheet.
Instead of copying yesterday's numbers, the kitchen gets a suggested plan with quantities per item. The production head adjusts what they know better and approves it.
Each outlet gets its own quantities.
A college-area outlet and a market outlet do not sell the same things on a Sunday. The planner sends each one what it is likely to sell, and suggests moves between outlets first.
What the planner looks at, and what it gives you.
Outlet sales history
Item-level sales per outlet, with recent weeks and the same weekday weighed higher.
Festivals and seasons
Regional festivals, wedding season, school holidays and your own events.
Weather
Forecast temperature and rain, which shift demand for hot, cold and fresh items.
Stock on hand
Stock at each outlet, in finished goods and in the store room, plus open purchase orders.
Make, send and buy
One plan with production quantities, outlet dispatches and raw material shortages.
Reasons
A short reason for each line, such as 'sold out by 6 pm' or 'festival week lift'.
From close of sale to approved plan in minutes.
When the outlets close, the planner has the day's bills and stock counts. It prepares Sunday's plan and the owner or production head reviews it on a phone or tablet.
- Edit any quantity before approving
- Approved plan becomes kitchen batches
- Send lines become transfer notes
- Shortages become draft purchase orders
Learns from what actually happened.
Each day, the plan is compared with what was made, sent, sold and returned. Items that keep coming back unsold are planned lower; items that keep selling out are planned higher.
- Plan vs actual per outlet and item
- Leftover and sold-out tracking
- Owner edits are taken into account
- Accuracy shown per item over time
How we use AI
- AI plans are suggestions with reasons such as sales trends, festivals and weather. Owners and production heads approve every plan and every purchase.
- Stock and costs come only from your business's own data, so the plan is only as accurate as the data entered.
- The planner never starts production, sends stock or places orders on its own.
- Your sales data is used to plan for your business only. It is encrypted and never sold.
About AI Make-or-Sell Planner
Does the AI start production by itself?
No. Nothing is made, moved or bought until a person with approval rights approves the plan.
How much history does it need?
It can start with a few weeks of sales, and its suggestions get closer as more days are recorded. Until then, you can plan by hand and use its suggestions as a check.
Can I set my own festival days?
Yes. Add local fairs, your own sale days or a big wedding order in the calendar, and the planner includes them.
Does it work for garments or furniture?
Yes, for items made to stock. For made-to-order items, the planner focuses on raw material needs rather than quantities to make.
